UNITA - Universitas Montium is one of 64 European alliances funded by the European Commission as part of the Erasmus+ European Universities initiative. Coordinated by the University of Turin, this ambitious project, which began in November 2023, includes 12 European universities across 7 countries, along with the legal entity UNITA GEIE. Its goal is to create a transformative impact on teaching and research, as well as to strengthen the relationships between universities and their communities. UNITA aims to provide excellent, student-centred education from both European and transnational perspectives.

Students who wish to attend a course that includes a practical component, such as laboratories, must complete a safety course upon their arrival in Turin. It is important to note that these courses are offered only in Italian, so a minimum level of B1 proficiency in Italian is required.

The Master’s Degree in Stochastics and Data Science is a two-year postgraduate program conducted entirely in English. It is designed to offer advanced training in probabilistic and statistical methods. This program provides students with a solid theoretical foundation and practical skills in data analysis, stochastic modeling, and modern statistical techniques. It prepares graduates for careers in research, industry, and data-driven decision-making.

Buddy Project is a welcome and support service for international students enrolled in a degree programme at UniTO, as well as for international exchange students participating in the Erasmus+ programme or through a study abroad scheme.

If you are an international student, you will be contacted directly by a Buddy after your registration at UniTO.

Buddies will help you with:

  • learning the Italian language and culture
  • receiving information and clarifying doubts about your experience at UniTO
  • receiving information about the services offered by the University of Turin, such as libraries, study rooms, university restaurants, sports activities, and more
  • obtaining information about health care, residence permit, and housing
  • fulfill the administrative procedures related to your mobility, such as registering courses on your career plan, enrolling in exams, and more.
  • making new friends and immersing yourself in the vibrant student life of Turin.

The University of Turin offers Italian language courses each semester to Erasmus+, global exchange, and double-degree students. Each student may enrol in only one Italian language course per academic year. These courses are divided into three levels: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. They are free of charge and last for one semester. If a student passes the final exam, the course is worth 5 ECTS credits. More information about Italian Language Course.
